My name is Keith Humphrey. I met Brad Boulton in 2008. When I became the Chief of Police for the City of Lancaster,Texas. I don't normally do endorsements. However, I am honored to endorse my good friend for Sheriff. From the first day, I witnessed resiliency and leadership from this young man. They say, “Crisis Spawns Leaders”, I have seen this with Brad first hand. Being able to keep his officers strong and focused following one of the most tragic incidents in the history of the both the City of Lancaster, and the Lancaster Police Department. On June 20, 2010, Brad actually saw one of his Officers killed in the line of duty. Without hesitation, Brad ran directly to the threat. After neutralizing the threat and checking on our fallen Officer, Brad refocused on his officers, who were visibly shaken. The first thing Brad said to his troops was, “Stay focused for Craig. You still have work to do.” That is what Brad is all about. Taking care of others and placing himself second. Empathy, Professionalism, Confident, Innovative, and Selfless describes Brad. Hamilton County will be much safer place,with Brad Boulton as Sheriff.
My name is Keith Kraatz, and I endorse Brad Boulton for the upcoming election for Sheriff of Hamilton County, Texas.I served as a Police Officer in the Dallas - Fort Worth area for eight years before recently moving my family to Hamilton County, where my wife serves the community of Hico as a Police Officer. Being from law enforcement, I have been privileged enough to see some of the best leaders the field has to offer, and I have seen the effects of both great and poor leadership. Elected officials in positions of authority should be important to us all, since their abilities, expertise, and commitment directly affect the citizens of this county. My name is Sean Spoon. I would like to officially endorse Brad Boulton for the Sheriff of Hamilton County, Texas. I began working with Brad in 2000, at the Lancaster, Tx Police Department, where he was my first training Officer. We then worked together in the Patrol Division, until I left the department and went to work at a different one. During my 13-year career as a Sheriff's Deputy and Police Officer, I have spent time in Patrol Divisions, Narcotics, and Criminal Interdiction units, a gang task force and currently serve as a K-9 unit.
Brad continued his career with the Lancaster Police Department, working himself up through the ranks to Assistant Chief, and retired at this position. Brad is currently The Chief of Police at Hamilton Police Department.
Brad possesses knowledge in Texas Law Enforcement from the Patrol Division all the way up to the administration of an entire department. His dedication, his demeanor, common sense, problem solving, and people skills are what’s needed in today’s law enforcement world.

I met Brad when he came back to Hamilton as the Chief of Police. I found him to be respectful, honest & a man you can talk to. Brad has shared some of his goals with me & one of the most important ones in my opinion is opening the county jail back up. I believe he will work with our commissioners with our county’s best interest at heart. He is dedicated, highly qualified & has many years of experience to be our sheriff. I began working with Brad in 1999, at the Lancaster, Tx Police Department, where we served together as patrolmen. In 2001, I left for the Cedar Hill Police Department and retired as the Chief City Marshal in 2018, with a total of 30+ years in law enforcement.
During those years, Brad continued his career with Lancaster Police Department working himself up through the ranks to Assistant Chief, and retired at this position.
The city of Hamilton is lucky to have Brad as their Chief of Police, and the citizens of Hamilton County will be lucky to have him as their Sheriff as well.
Brad’s possesses an abundance of knowledge, he knows the laws of our state, and stays up to date as they change.
